Still Monsanto's glyphosate

We have already talked about glyphosate, the molecule contained in Roundup, but unfortunately it is still and more than ever topical because of its numerous and atrocious health effects.

A recent study was published by the "Journal of Environmental & Analytical Toxicology. They are researchers from the University of Leipzig in Germany and other researchers from the University of Sadat City in Egypt who collaborated with a farmer named Pedersen who owns a Danish farm specializing in pig breeding. The study was conducted by the University of Leipzig.

Through their diet, pigs consume low concentrations of glyphosate. And the study reveals that these pigs give birth to a huge number of malformed piglets.

Pedersen has publicly called for a ban on the use of glyphosate on pre-harvest feed. He says he is genuinely shocked that the industry is completely ignoring the overwhelming evidence about the serious harmful effects of glyphosate contained in the herbicide Roundup.

The study found that if the feed given to sows during the first 40 days of pregnancy contains 0.25 parts per million (ppm) of glyphosate, the rate of birth defects in piglets is one in every 1432 births. When the concentration of glyphosate reaches 0.87 ppm to 1.13 ppm, malformations affect one out of 260 piglets.

The anomalies revealed by this study are intolerable. Cranial and bone marrow deformities, atrophy of the ears and legs, or even absence of the trunk are observed. One female piglet was born with testicles, while another had a swollen belly and an unconnected fore- and hindgut. Other animals were born with one large central eye in the manner of a Cyclops. This anomaly has already been observed in Argentina in animals also exposed to Roundup.

The researchers euthanized all the piglets and autopsied them. There they found glyphosate in every organ and tissue. The highest concentrations of these chemical molecules were found elevated in the lungs and heart.

This disgusted Danish farmer is revolting because of the suffering of his animals and is calling for a ban on GMOs in animal feed since glyphosate is used primarily as a herbicide in such crops.

Indeed, Pedersen carried out his own experiments quite involuntarily. Three years ago, he changed the diet of his pigs by choosing to feed them only soy-based (non-GM) feed. Apparently, this was the real trigger, because he immediately observed an improvement in ulcers, appetite problems and milk production in the sows and their litters were the most frequent. Intestinal and digestive disorders in piglets were reduced.

Recently, Pedersen ran out of non-GMO food and decided to go back to the previous GMO-based diet. Loss of appetite in sows and diarrhea in piglets immediately followed. The rate of congenital malformations in piglets increased immediately.

25 years ago "the National Institute of Animal Sciences" was already drawing attention to the animal harm of Roundup. And yet the authorities completely ignore this overwhelming evidence.

Pedersen says that contrary to official information circulating in the agriculture industry, it is still possible to buy non-GMO soybeans. Obviously, the price is a bit higher, but it would prove the non-harmfulness of the feed and return the herds to health.

Although he calls for a ban on genetically modified foods, Pedersen does not blame individual farmers for using genetically modified products because they are completely manipulated. On the other hand, he accuses the industry, government and farmers' associations of ignoring and failing to inform about these risks.

Pedersen says the whole truth about the dark side of chemical agents has never been told.
