What is henna?
Natural henna is obtained from the dried leaves of shrubs that grow in hot, dry climates in India and North Africa, such as lawsonia inermis.
Henna starts out as a thorny shrub, growing up to 6 meters high. But it's not its stature or its place in the botanical catalog that gives this tree its reputation. Depending on whether it's the leaves, flowers or other parts of the plant that are used, henna has a host of active ingredients that are beneficial to human health. It can be used as an infusion, applied to the skin or, of course, as a hair dye. Henna seems to be an endless source of inspiration and care.
There are two types of henna: natural and neutral.
In natural hair coloring, natural henna is used both to color hair and to set vegetable colorings. Natural henna shades range from coppery to mahogany to red. These pigments can be used to color hair, in combination with other powders to create multiple shades.
Neutral henna, on the other hand, doesn't color hair very much (especially light hair), but coats the hair to strengthen it.

What are the precautions for using Henné Color Neutre?
- Henné Color Neutral Henna Powder Care is suitable for all hair types.
- Do not apply to eyelashes or eyebrows. For external use only.
- Depending on your sensitivity, some ingredients may cause an allergic reaction. Perform a sensitivity test 48 hours before use.
- Neutral Henna Powder Care can be applied after bleaching, perming or straightening. However, we recommend you wait at least 4/6 weeks before using it, and reduce the application time for the first application.
- Use on a healthy scalp (not irritated or injured).
- The color of the powder is not indicative of the result on your hair.
- In very rare cases, application of Neutral Henna Powder Care to very light or white hair may slightly color the hair.
