The power of nature against lumbago

Spinal overload, wrong movement, bad posture, anxiety, stress... Lumbago can be caused by various reasons. The one that is commonly called "back strain", due to its location in the lumbar region, is characterized by sharp and brutal pains in this area of the body.
If the pains tend, for the majority, to disappear after a few days, the lumbago risks to recur in a third of the cases.

Allopathic physicians usually prescribe analgesics and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, treating the symptoms over a longer or shorter period of time. These drugs have, of course, an almost instantaneous effect, but they generate risks of hyperalgesia or increased sensitization to pain - among other things.
No need, therefore, to consider restrictive medication when nature offers us, once again, its many riches...without undesirable effects.

Horsetail leaf

White Willow (Salix alba)

It is the basis for the development of Aspirin, a world-famous analgesic. Its bark is composed of salicin, a powerful anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic. Its effects are reinforced by the presence of phenolglycosides and polyphenols (flavonoids and flavanols) that fight the formation of free radicals. So you can enjoy the benefits of Aspirin, without the side effects, especially on the stomach.

Like white willow, meadowsweet is rich in flavonoids and salicylate derivatives. Powerful analgesic and anti-inflammatory, this "vegetable aspirin" is also an excellent way to cleanse the body.

Harpagophytum (Harpagophytum procumbens)

It contains a lot of interesting active principles of which the harpagoside scientifically recognized for its anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antirheumatic properties.
The last researches carried out on the devil's claw also underlined a big antioxidant effect and a capacity to deacidify the body, very useful when we know that an excessive acidity exerts an aggressive, abrasive and corrosive action on our fabrics.
Moreover, scientists have observed that harpagophytum reduces lower back pain in the same way as certain pharmaceutical products (notably Rofecoxib, withdrawn from the market in 2004 because of its numerous side effects on health).
This plant not only reduces pain, but also promotes joint mobility and flexibility, as well as the elasticity of muscle and tendon tissue.

Harpagophytum

If it is necessary to fight pain and inflammation, it is equally important to remineralize the body, in order to provide muscles, discs and joints with the elements essential for growth, regeneration and maintenance
Plants such as horsetail, nettle and bamboo have many minerals, including a high level of silica, which is particularly useful in the synthesis of collagen in bone and connective tissue. They therefore promote the reconstitution of cartilage and significantly improve joint mobility.

Why risk many adverse effects, when nature provides us with just as many benefits?
