Bien préparer les flocons d'avoine

Oats are a source of phytic acid. This substance is not inherently dangerous as long as it is consumed in moderation. However, it is present in allwhole grains and legumes. So, if you add oatmeal in the morning, whole grain pasta at lunch, legumes in the evening, you may end up suffering from digestive problems and intoxication.

The good news is that phytic acid is destroyed when the food is cooked for a long time and/or when it has been soaked for at least 12 hours. So, soak your flakes the night before for the next day (remember to rinse well) and cook your preparation until you get a mush. That's why it's called oatmeal porridge ....
