Hands and feet care: beauty right down to the tips of the nails
Hands and feet, those areas forgotten during care
When caring for the body, hands and feet are often the forgotten areas. In spite of manicures and pedicures to polish our nails, we tend to forget the rest of the existing care for our hands and feet.
Hands care
Hands are always visible and their appearance is therefore important. To have beautiful hands all year round is not complicated, just a few daily gestures are enough:
Wash them regularly: beautiful hands require good hygiene. To do this, it is better to use soap rather than hydro-alcoholic gel, which dries out the skin.
Exfoliate them weekly: Like the rest of the body, hands need regular exfoliation to remove dead skin and other impurities.
Moisturize them daily: Hydration is essential for beautiful skin. It is recommended to moisturize your hands after exfoliation and also before going to sleep for better absorption.
Anti-aging cream, is it necessary?
When we want to have a younger face, we apply anti-aging cream. However, it is not the only place that accumulates the signs of age. So, taking care of your face but not your hands will make you have a young face with wrinkled hands.
A special anti-aging hand cream is designed to moisturize the hands while eliminating the signs of age. In this way, brown spots, wrinkles and sagging skin are reduced and the application of the care offers a second youthfulness to the skin of the hands.
Homemade hand care: recipe for a regenerating mask
Daily hand care is important to keep hands smooth and beautiful. But sometimes it's good to shake up the routine and change the care. Your hands will appreciate the change and it will be a chance for you to try something new.
To make a regenerating mask at home, you will need :
1 tablespoon of oatmeal
1 tablespoon of yogurt
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon of sweet almond oil
2 drops of essential oil of incense
To make the mask, mix all the ingredients in a bowl and apply the resulting cream to your clean, damp hands. Leave on for about 20 minutes and rinse gently with warm water.
Taking care of your feet
Feet are the target of many problems: bad smell, calluses, excess dead skin... So it's high time to take care of them to remedy this.
Scrubbing: With each walk, the feet react by accumulating a protective layer called the horn, mainly located on the heel. Occasionally this excess layer of skin must be reduced with an exfoliant or pumice stone.
Foot bath: for about 20 minutes let your feet bathe in warm water to relax or cold water to improve blood circulation. It is possible to add a little cider vinegar and a handful of sea salt for an additional disinfectant effect.
Hydration: it can never be repeated enough, hydration is the basis of care. Applying nourishing cream every night will prevent the skin from drying out, especially when we go to the beach a lot.
Ventilation of the feet: as soon as possible remove your shoes and socks to leave your feet in the open air. This will reduce the risk of odours and fungus.
The pedicure: although less visible than a manicure, a pedicure is important to conclude the foot care. Cut and file your nails regularly to avoid problems such as ingrown toenails. Finish by applying nail polish for those who wish.
The nails, a reflection of our health
There is no point in taking care of your hands if you forget to take care of your nails. Having filed, shiny and polished nails shows that a person takes good care of him or herself. Beautiful, moisturized and groomed hands go completely unnoticed if they end up with neglected nails.
