Clary sage: harmony and balance for women
Native to southern Europe and western Asia, clary sage (Salvia sclarea) is a valuable plant traditionally associated with hormonal balance and women's well-being. Its organic essential oil, with a warm, herbaceous, and slightly musky scent, is known to promote relaxation and soothe discomfort associated with the menstrual cycle or menopause.
Rich in sclareol, it has a natural hormone-like effect, supporting vitality and serenity during periods of change.
On an emotional level, it helps to release tension, promote self-confidence, and open up creativity. Relaxing and antispasmodic, it also acts on menstrual pain, cramps, or abdominal tension, while contributing to better nervous balance. When diffused, it creates an atmosphere conducive to calm and refocusing.
Directions for use
- For massage: dilute 2 to 3 drops in a teaspoon of vegetable oil (evening primrose , sweet almond , or apricot kernel) and apply to the lower abdomen or lower back 2 to 3 times a day as needed.
- Diffusion: to calm the mind and promote emotional relaxation.
Precautions
- Do not administer to pregnant or breastfeeding women or children under 12 years of age.
- May have hormonal effects on women. Take this into account when using.
- Contraindicated in cases of mastosis or hormone-dependent cancer (breast, ovary, endometrium).
- Risk of allergy (limonene, linalool): be careful not to overdose in mixtures. The elbow test is recommended prior to any skin application (at least 48 hours before use).
- Avoid contact with the eyes.
- Keep out of reach of children.
