Sweet almond oil is an edible oil that is also used for body and hair care.
Rich in essential fatty acids, unsaponifiables, and vitamins, sweet almond oil has regenerating, restructuring, and moisturizing properties. It softens the skin, protects against itching, irritation, and chapping… and is recommended for dry and sensitive skin, as well as for the delicate skin of babies and young children. As a carrier oil for essential oils, it is often used to treat skin problems, either alone or in combination with other oils.
Due to its high content of monounsaturated fatty acids, sweet almond oil is also particularly beneficial from a nutritional standpoint. Its delicate flavor pairs well with both savory and sweet foods. It is an excellent salad dressing and also makes a very mild cooking oil, particularly well-suited for salads, fish, duck, and chicken, as well as for making marinades, desserts, and pastries.
