Lemon verbena essential oil: serenity and emotional balance
Distilled from the leaves of Lippia citriodora, Bioflore organic lemon verbena essential oil is renowned for its fresh, lemony, and deeply soothing fragrance. Rich in citrals (geranial and neral), it is traditionally used to promote relaxation, soothe nervous tension, and provide support during periods of stress or emotional fatigue.
When diffused, it creates a gentle and reassuring atmosphere; when used in massage, diluted in a vegetable oil, it helps to release tension and restore a sense of inner harmony.
Its biochemical profile, dominated by terpene aldehydes, also gives it calming and relaxing properties for both the mind and body. It is often used in supportive treatments for digestive well-being and muscle relaxation.
Directions for use
- Diluted to 1-2% in vegetable oil for relaxing massages.
- Diffuse gently to create a soothing and harmonious atmosphere.
Precautions
- Do not use during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or on children under 6 years of age.
- Highly photosensitizing essential oil, do not expose yourself to sunlight for 10 hours after applying to the skin.
- Irritating to the skin in its pure form, dilute for use on the skin.
- Oral use is strictly contraindicated during pregnancy.
- Risk of drug interactions, do not use internally without medical advice.
- Risk of allergy (limonene): take care not to use too much in mixtures. A patch test on the inner elbow is recommended prior to any skin application (at least 48 hours before use).
- Avoid contact with the eyes.
- Keep out of reach of young children.
- Store away from heat and light.

Terpene aldehydes: geranial (20%), neral (15%), Sesquiterpenes: beta-caryophyllene (4.8%), germacrene D (3.6%), Ar-curcumene (3.5%), Monoterpenes: limonene (16%), Oxides: 1,8 cineole (4.7%).
