An essential oil that supports the body’s natural defenses
Ravintsara essential oil boosts a weakened immune system and is a powerful antiviral.
It is helpful for the flu, viral bronchitis, shingles, herpes, infectious mononucleosis… and for respiratory issues, it can be used in a diffuser and/or as a rub.
Thanks to its excellent skin tolerance, it can also be used in massage or in the bath to purify and protect the skin (applied topically to cold sores on the lips). Caution is advised regarding dosage: generally 1 to 2 drops, blended with other essential oils, such as eucalyptus radiata or rosemary cineole.

Traditional Uses

Directions for Use
Internal use: 2drops of essential oil 3 times a day, blended with niaouli or eucalyptus radiata in olive oil, for all viral conditions and nervous disorders.
External use: 5
drops of essential oil 3 times a day, massaged on either side of the spine or on the chest, depending on the condition being treated.
During winter flu outbreaks, apply 6 drops of essential oil locally to the soles of the feet or the chest morning and evening to protect yourself against viral infections.
Precautions
- Not recommended during pregnancy.- Not recommended for children under 6 years of age.
- Since essential oils are volatile, sensitive to UV radiation, and flammable at high temperatures, it is essential to store them in a tightly sealed, dark glass bottle at a temperature between 5°C and 40°C.
