It is possible to treat hay fever. ENT departments in hospitals provide appropriate care in the prevention of this situation. Indeed, it is a long-term therapy that involves improving the healing of an allergic terrain. It is aninflammatory disease due to the triggering of the effects of the immune system to the effect of an allergenic body such as dust, pollen or animal hair.

Qu’est-ce que le rhume des foins ?

Hay fever is avery common allergic infection that is caused by the presence of a foreign, even intruding substance. The immune system reacts by releasing material that will then trigger allergic rhinitis. It presents with a series of sneezes, then excessive snot and tears, and finally, irritated eyes. Hay fever is a very common aspect of allergic reaction.

Pourquoi êtes-vous atteint ?

Patients who are generally called atopic grounds have usually acquired this discomfort through heredity. The latter is the main agent of transmission of the pathology. If you suffer from hay fever, it is because one of your parents or grandparents are also atopic grounds. Yet, just because no family member has been affected by the condition does not mean that descendants will be spared. It could be that the atopic terrain appears on its own.

The reaction could also be due to the change from one season to another. Surely, climate change is a factor favoring allergies. The cold of winter is responsible for triggering hay fever. Yet, when your body starts to get used to the season, the switch to another will again prompt the onset of allergic rhinitis. This acts as a vicious cycle and doesn't stop.

Les symptômes

If you have allergyThe symptoms do not appear overnight. The situation settles down for a while. It may even take years. It is possible that a child does not have any allergy, but once he/she is a teenager, he/she shows the first signs, and until adulthood, it becomes more and more serious.

Hay fever could be triggered unexpectedly by dust, flower pollens, or contact with a furry animal.

It all starts with the nose. Reactions cause tingling and then sneezing to excess. The nose runs with mucus. This could even lead to nasal obstruction. In a very severe case, it could appear as bleeding.

The phenomenon then attacks the eyes with watery eyes and then irritation and redness. It even reaches the ears by disturbing hearing. It may still spread to other parts like the throat and neck with itching.

It all comes down to the birth and first year of a baby. Normal childbirth decreases the risk of being affected by allergy. The immune system builds by capturing good bacteria from the vaginal flora. The mother is also encouraged to feed the baby exclusively through breastfeeding. Breast milk allows the construction and the fortification of the immune system. Finally, let the child live in a normal environment, not overly sterilized or disinfected.

Des précautions à prendre

If you often react with hay fever, the first solution to combat it is to take the necessary precautions.

During an allergic reaction, avoid rubbing your eyes. This could make the situation worse, as the contact of your hand with your eye could promote infection of bacteria.

At home, don't keep flowers in your house, and especially in your bedroom. Also do not live with furry animals such as cats or dogs. Your home will be ventilated in the morning and during the rainy season. The use of a vacuum cleaner is strongly discouraged, as it promotes the expansion of dust.

Outside, wear sunglasses and if possible, a mask for your nose to avoid surprise attacks. When driving, keep the windows closed.

Also avoid certain foods such as honey, peanuts, coffee and some seafood. Thus, an atopic terrain should not smoke at all.
