Vomissement chez le chien

Gastrites are common in dogs. They are often related to improper feeding. However, other causes can cause vomiting such as ingesting an object or anxiety.

Infrequent vomiting (1 to 4 times a month) should not raise an alarm. This may be due to your dog having swallowed grass and purging.
On the other hand, beyond the aforementioned frequency, vomiting in an adult dog may reflect other disorders such as gastrointestinal or anxiety.

Once your veterinarian confirms the emotional origin of your dog's vomiting, you can turn to alternative and natural solutions.

Pets are real emotional "sponges" and they pick up absolutely everything.

If you are anxious by nature, he will be too. If you are calm and collected, it will affect his behavior. So when you want to treat your dog for anxiety-induced vomiting, consider doing a little work on yourself as well!

Here are the natural remedies to help your dog find peace of mind:

  • Melissa: in infusion, extract or hydrolate: antispasmodic, relaxing, digestive calming.  In infusion: 1 to 2 g of dried plant per 10kg of weight in 100ml of water.

  • Fig tree bud : acts on the mucous membrane of the stomach while acting on the nervous system.  Glycerine macerate D1: 1 drop per Kg // concentrated glycerine macerate 1 drop for 5 to 10kg

  • Roman chamomile hydrosol: brings calm and comfort. 1ml for 5kg

How do you give it to him? Either directly in the dish if you feed him with BARF or with a pipette.

Mal des transports

Does your companion suffer from motion sickness? Is he anxious and agitated in the car? The first tip is to avoid giving him food before getting in the car so that he doesn't vomit and the second is to get your dog used to car trips as soon as possible by going gradually. However, there are natural remedies to relieve your faithful companion, here they are:

  • Lemon balm: in mother tincture.  To be given 2 hours before a trip and during the trip if necessary. 1 drop per kg.

  • Ginger powder1 pinch per day for 10kg, to mix in his food. For a big dog, you can put 1 drop of ginger essential oil on a cookie.

  • Hydrolat of peppermint: 1ml for 5kg.

  • Lemon essential oil only for large dogs . 1 drop on a cookie 2 hours before departure + just before leaving.

Preparation:

Pour the simmering water over the plants and let infuse for 10 to 15 minutes. Filter and drink throughout the day.

The chosen plants act on the symptom, the terrain and prevent possible infections.

The causes of diarrhea in dogs are numerous.  They can be due to parasites, sudden changes in diet, intoxication, stress...

  • 10g raspberry bush (fe.)

  • 15g lemon balm (fe.)

  • 1l of low mineralized spring water

Constipation chez le chien ou coprostase

Constipation can become severe if it continues for several days.

After having taken care to ask the advice of your veterinarian so that there are no internal complications, you can relieve him thanks to plants by preparing a laxative tea containing borage (stem bark), marshmallow (root), mallow (fl.), plantain (seeds) or aloe vera (juice)

The dose is 1 to 2 g of dried plant per 10kg of weight in 100ml of water. During constipation, it is important to hydrate the animal properly.
