Lithotherapy: the sun stone

The sun stone, also called heliolite of Helios, the Greek God of the Sun, is an essential stone in lithotherapy practice. Symbol of power and light, it is in the image of the king star. Discover in detail the stone of Sun and its use in lithotherapy.

La symbolique du Soleil

The sun, in all traditional societies, symbolizes the male principle and the authority it implies. He is the Father of all life on this Earth and even beyond. Nothing can escape the light of the sun, it is relentless. Thus, it has been customary to make the analogy between the light of the sun and the flash of consciousness.

In addition, the Suninvites sharing, brotherhood, and solidarity. The Sun shines for everyone and at all times, even when it is behind the clouds, even when it is dark. It is the guardian, the protector, the benefactor.

However, it is also necessary to take care with its reverse side! It can burn. In trying to shine too brightly, it can burn out. The Sunshine can also signify oversized egos like the Sun King.

La pierre de Soleil à travers l'Histoire

First revered by the Vikings, then used in jewelry during Ancient Greece, the Celts, for their part, associated it with their solar cult. In Buddhist culture, sunstones were connected to the god Vishnu, protection and benevolence.

Very recently, in the 1980s, was discovered in Oregon (USA) another variety of sunstones. These are encrusted with fragments of copper, labradorite or hematite which make them green, yellow, brown or transparent sunstones.

Purifier et recharger sa pierre de soleil

Like all stones in lithotherapy, the sunstone charges and discharges as it is used. To continue to enjoy its benefits, it is advisable to purify and recharge it regularly or when the desire arises.

To do this, you can clean it in live mountain water or an unpolluted stream and then expose it to the sun. If you feel that this is not enough, a short stay in the ground will do it the world of good.
