Did you know Maca, the natural energy stimulant?

Maca, whose Latin name is Lepidium Meyenii, is a taproot plant of the Brassicaceae. From the highlands of the central Peruvian Andes, this root of the shape of a turnip was already cultivated by our ancestors for its benefits and its nutritional properties. In ancient times, during the Inca era, they used it to boost fertility and increase sexual energy. It is also interesting to know that Maca were formerly called "Peruvian Ginseng" and currently some nickname it the "Peruvian Viagra" as this plant would stimulate the production of male and female hormones.

Maca was a source of reward that was given to warriors to bring them even more energy, not sexual here but vital. So that they can maintain their stamina and strength in battle. For the anecdote, in those times, women were forbidden from the places of fights to avoid that their sexual appetites do not devour them following the catch of this super-food.

These interesting benefits in terms of fertility, hormonal balance and sexual energy have not been scientifically proven. However, it turns out that the benefits of Maca are quite present and especially very useful for people experiencing a lack of libido, those who suffer from erectile dysfunction and for all those whose aphrodisiac or fertile needs are felt.

Increasingly popular in the Western diet, Maca has become a superfood nowadays.

Indeed, it is interesting to know that this plant is one of the most used to boost our energy and vitality. It is a general tonic, it gives back strength, energy, it improves vitality and ambition.
