How does natural medicine relieve your stomach problems?

It is not uncommon for you to complain after a meal of a heavy stomach, belching, bloated stomach or overwhelming fatigue. It's just your digestion going wrong. And often industrial food, bad food associations, lack of physical exercise, in short a real imbalance in the hygiene of living in general but not only... Fortunately natural medicines can bring you some solutions to relieve your discomforts, thus avoiding devouring heaps of drugs of all kinds.

The digestive walk

It is possible to lighten the stomach's workload and reduce the digestion time by two. By instituting a digestive walk within an hour after the meal. No need to put on your sportswear and your running shoes, the idea is not there. What is needed is to set the body in motion so that the striated muscles provoke the action of the smooth muscles and thus allow the stimulation of all the eliminatory organs.
Moreover, in Chinese medicine, the point that tones the stomach meridian is located in the center of the instep. This point which will be stimulated during the walk will thus support the digestion which we wish to lighten.

Aromatherapy

In aromatherapy, several essential oils can help you.

  • Peppermint - Mentha × piperita - is an essential oil that is very suitable for helping you feel better after a heavy meal or digestive laziness. Simply put 1 to 2 drops under the tongue or on a neutral tablet, in a spoon of honey or a teaspoon of olive oil.
  • If ingesting an essential oil scares you, it is possible to prepare a massage lotion very easy to make. Take a bottle in which you will have poured 30 ml of a vegetable oil of your choice, add 5 drops of essential oil of fennel - Foeniculum vulgare - and let it settle for a few hours so that the oil is impregnated with the benefits of fennel. Gently massage your abdomen with a few drops of this mixture. An instant effect will be observed thanks to the multiple benefits of fennel: Aperitive, digestive, laxative, diuretic and carminative action

Fennel essential oil is formally contraindicated in cancerous or hormone-dependent pathologies. Not recommended for young children and pregnant women.

essential oil

Essential oils acting on the digestive sphere are really numerous and it is possible to combine them to make very interesting synergies. Examples include Basil, Ginger, Coriander, Tarragon, Lemon and Grapefruit. To be used in full knowledge of the usual contraindications and ideally under the supervision of your therapist.

Phytotherapy

Why not end your meal with a digestive herbal tea? In organic stores, herbalist shops or in all food shops today, there are herbal teas that you can use without risks and without contraindications.
You can also prepare your own herbal tea with dried plants of organic quality. In a tea strainer, put one part of lemon balm leaves with one part of peppermint leaves to which you will add a star anise. Cover with water at 85 degrees and let it brew for a short ten minutes.
Avoid adding sugar, however, and prefer honey if you absolutely need that sweet touch.
It is understood that these natural methods can support you if you experience these discomforts on an occasional basis. But it is obvious that the first thing to do is to change your food hygiene by adopting a more responsible attitude towards your plate.

How do you do it?

By eating a maximum of organic products that will not saturate you with pesticides and other poisons; by eating fresh, local and seasonal products; by avoiding as much as possible industrialized dishes whose real components are less and less known; and finally, by learning to read labels to protect yourself from the dangers of modern industrialization.
