How to act against the effects of Andropause?

Like women, men between the ages of 40 and 55 can experience a less dramatic phenomenon, but similar to menopause in women, it is called andropause.

The concept of andropause has been much less studied and certainly less publicized than menopause. This is certainly due to the fact that, unlike women, the transition to andropause does not have a clear landmark like the cessation of menstruation for women, for example.

However, this phenomenon is not to be overlooked, as many men in this age group notice and experience personal transformations, often on both a psychological and physical level.

What are the signs of andropause?

While menopause is characterized by the definitive cessation of menstruation and reproductive capacity as well as by a significant drop in estrogen and progesterone, andropause is a progressive phenomenon that evolves slowly over time.

The latter manifests itself by the gradual appearance of various seemingly unrelated disorders, but which are all related to a decrease in the male hormone testosterone.

Scientific explanations of testosterone synthesis

In the case of hormonal deficiency, the solutions classically proposed are the absorption of synthetic replacement hormones in order to make up for the existing deficit. Unfortunately, this solution is often accompanied, in the long term, by significant side effects, such as prostate hypertrophy, cardiovascular problems, sleep apnea ... In addition, the ideal dosages of this type of product are quite difficult to establish and the blood level of testosterone may be excessive compared to the real physiological needs of the body.

The synthesis of male hormones (androgens, in particular testosterone, 85%) is carried out by the Leydig cells in the testicles. This synthesis is itself controlled by the hypothalamus which in turn secretes a hormone that induces the conversion of cholesterol into testosterone.

From the age of 40, the normal capacity to secrete testosterone decreases by 1.2% per year. Some natural products, such as Testonat or Andronat, appear as natural hormonal stimulants and regulators. They allow middle-aged men to maintain well-being, fitness, power and health for a long time.

Disorders of the urogenital sphere

The most characteristic symptom is a decrease in sexual activity due to a loss of sexual desire (libido) and/or erectile difficulties (impotence).

From a urinary point of view, one can notice an increase in urinary frequency, mainly at night, a weaker urinary stream or difficulties in urinating, and sometimes urinary incontinence.

Mood disorders

Irritability, nervousness, anxiety, and sometimes depression are the most frequently observed psychological symptoms. A lack of psychological tone, characterized by a lack of motivation and enthusiasm or a feeling of being out of sorts, sometimes completes the picture.

Sleep disorders

There is often a tendency to fall asleep during the day and difficulty falling asleep at night.

Physical disorders

Weight gain, especially by fat deposition in the abdominal area, and loss of muscle mass are frequent. The hair becomes fine and fragile, the beard is less thick and the pubic hair is decreasing.
