Feeling tired, slow and overwhelmed? The answer is sport!

Can't find the energy to do everything you should be doing? A workout is a must!

It may be mistakenly believed that physical exercise will only lead to more fatigue, and it is often the last thing we want to do when we feel tired, but don't look for an excuse: even lack of energy is not a valid one. On the contrary!

There are many reasons to be physically active. Sport reduces body fat in favor of muscle mass, decreases the risk of disease and confers emotional and mental benefits, contributing to an overall and complete well-being. It is one of the fundamental bases for the health of the body and mind. In addition, exercise is beneficial for all your other activities, as it will boost your energy!

A study in the journal Psychotherapy and Psychosomatics reported that sedentary people complaining of fatigue could increase their energy by 20% while reducing fatigue by 65% by engaging in low-intensity physical activity.

Other studies, carried out on several groups of healthy adults, cancer patients and people with diabetes and heart disease, have emphasized that the increase in energy and the reduction of fatigue through sport are superior to the effects of stimulant drugs.

According to physiologist Dr. Pete McCall, "When a sedentary person begins an exercise program, it improves blood flow and promotes better transport of oxygen and nutrients to the tissues and improves the ability of cells to produce more ATP."est_7

In addition, sport increases the level of endorphins. This happiness hormone is released by the hypothalamus and the pituitary gland during the practice of sports. Once secreted, this endogenous morphine spreads through the tissues, blood and central nervous system, relieving stress and giving a sense of well-being. When we know that stress is one of the causes of our fatigue, we suspect that fighting it will only have positive effects on our energy.

Physical activity promotes the functioning of the cardiovascular system, which allows the body to be more resistant throughout the day.

As you can imagine, a deep and restful sleep is inseparable from good energy. Be careful, however, not to do your physical activity too late in the evening. Indeed, sport has a stimulating effect, at first. Therefore, prefer to practice your exercise in the morning or afternoon. By stimulating the production of serotonin, sport is an excellent ally for a good night's sleep and maximum recovery.

So there are only benefits to being physically active. Coupled with a good diet and hydration, sports contribute greatly to a healthy lifestyle.

The possibilities are enormous to find the one that suits you!

For example, research has shown that combining aerobic activity with strength training improves fatigue. However, gentle exercises, such as yoga, are also very beneficial for the body and mind.
