Do you think about deworming?

Deworming your dog or cat, we know. Deworming yourself, we forgot. Some of you may have memories as a child of hearing "ah! He's wriggling around, he must have worms! This reflex of regularly deworming your child at new and full moons has been forgotten. The old-timers knew. Discover in this article the signs that maybe you should think about deworming and how to do it naturally.

There is a rule that says that as long as you have pets at home, the whole family and even your furry critters should worm twice a year. In fact, it is not uncommon for contagion to occur within the same family from pets to humans. A lick, a kiss on your dog's or cat's muzzle can transmit parasites to humans by rubbing their eyes, nose or bringing their hand to their mouth.

Les parasites intestinaux chez l'humain

The infestation of intestinal worms is not limited to animals. The most common parasites that have taken up residence in your digestive tract are :

  • pinworms

  • roundworms

  • worms

  • lamblias

  • hookworms

  • tapeworms

Depending on the worm present in your intestines, the following symptoms may be noted:

  • abdominal pain

  • bloating

  • Digestive disorders with diarrhea, nausea or even vomiting.

  • Itching around the anus and/or nose especially at bedtime

  • Persistent nosebleed.

  • mood disorder with often agitation

  • sleeping problems

  • slimming

  • nutritional deficiencies

Les signes de la présence d'oxyures

The oxyures are flatworms. They appear as small flat spaghetti in the stool.

Anal pruritus at bedtime is really characteristic of pinworms. Indeed, at nightfall, the females migrate towards the exit to shoulder their eggs outside. By scratching, the eggs are dispersed in the sheets or on the child's comforter which, once worn on the face, will contaminate it with "fresh" eggs that can hatch again in the intestines and so on...

Contaminé ? Que faire pour éradiquer l'oxyurose?

  1. Wash all sheets, briefs and pajamas for the entire family at 60°C.

  2. Wash your pet's pillows.

  3. Vermifuge all animals in your household.

  4. Worm the entire family.

  5. Talk to your daycare or school about it.

It is advisable to proceed in 2 times: at the full moon and at the new moon. Indeed, the eggs take 15 days to hatch.

  • In pharmacies, you will find many remedies in the form of tablets to be swallowed at 15 days intervals.

  • In herbal medicine, garlic is particularly effective. Eat it raw every day with every meal. If necessary, add 2 drops of garlic essential oil to your dishes (only for adults). Otherwise, zucchini, turmeric, celery, thyme, fenugreek, cinnamon, cloves, jujube, nigella seeds are also anti-parasitic foods.

  • Grapefruit seed extract.

  • Probiotics: in a course of treatment to reseed intestinal bacteria and restore the balance of the microbiota this will limit the infestation of pinworms but will not prevent it.

  • Homeopathy: Cina 9CH: 3 granules every night for 2 months.

Prévenir la réinfestation parasitaire

  • Remember to wash your hands well after petting your pet.

  • Teach children not to kiss your cat's nose.

  • Wash the comforter regularly.

  • Deworm all household members and pets every 6 months at full and new moons.

  • Make cures of probiotics and grapefruit seed extract (the whole family, even children).

  • Consume the "anti-parasitic"foods.
