Don't wait for the vacations to take care of yourself!

Work year round to relax 3 weeks in the summer. Is it really respecting your rhythm? Why do you often have to wait months before taking care of yourself? Here are some tips on how to avoid getting burned out along the way...

Food as a driver.

We can't say it enough: for good physical and mental health, food must be of good quality. Favour a "living" diet, i.e. eat raw or minimally cooked, predominantly vegetarian, colorful and organic or garden foods. Treat yourself to occasional moments of gastronomic pleasure with family or friends. The meal must be a convivial moment of sharing and exchange.

What you put on your plate is your fuel for your engine which is your physical body and your mind.

Rest time to regenerate.

There is a time for everything: to work and to rest. Rest is an important step in the information assimilation processbut also to boost your creativity.

Indeed, it is in the "nothing" moments that you regenerate and that ideas flow. These interludes in your daily life have a buffering effect between all the external demands that can overwhelm you.

Why not take advantage of the time of a weekend to cut the phone, internet and do absolutely nothing, not even shopping or sports. You then allow yourself to come back to you, to your essential, to rest and, why not, to take some distance with certain events. Don't worry, the Earth will continue to turn!

Winter is a season that calls for introspection. The bad weather, the cold, the early night are not conducive to initiate new projects. Put them away for the spring!

Reconnecting with a passion to escape.

When you were little, did you dream of being a dancer? As a child, you loved to tinker? Do you own a small piece of land? Why not awaken your inner child and reconnect with forgotten passions? Dancing, crafts, gardening, music, decorative arts, needlework... passions are windows to the soul. They help you to escape, to refocus, to stimulate your creativity. When you are caught up in an activity, you are living in the moment. Without realizing it, you are experiencing mindfulness. In short, you are doing meditation!

Numerous studies now demonstrate the many benefits of meditative practices on the immune, nervous, endocrine, cardiovascular systems etc... They are true fountains of youth that stimulate your various organic functions for the betterment of your health!

Giving meaning to your work.

If your work is meaningful to you, you probably don't feel like you are working! This is the key (or at least one of the keys) to well-being at work. Lassitude, lack of interest, feeling of obligation, there is nothing worse. This is the path that will lead you to burn out.

Taking cures for a boost.

In summer, you fill up on sun, fruit, raw vegetables and sports. You feel good, light in body and mind. During the year, for many, it is different... To help you maintain a healthy body and an optimal form, you have the possibility of making cures. There is a plethora of them. Each one brings you particular benefits according to your needs. Here are some of them:

  • monodiete : grape, apple, rice...
  • fasting dry or liquid or intermittent
  • vitamins: C, D, group B...
  • minerals and trace elements: magnesium, sulfur, manganese, iron ...
  • spirulina
  • probiotics
  • products of the hive: propolis, pollen...
  • birch sap

Taking care of yourself is also about reconnecting with Nature

Take the time to connect with the elements, the earth, the sky, the stars, the trees, the flowers, the animals, the minerals, the nature that surrounds you. Wherever you are, even in the most urbanized city, find resourceful places, even in a park, to walk.

These moments are important because it is by being in contact with nature that you can deeply recharge your batteries. However, it is advisable to do it consciously, to live in the present moment and to feel in each of your cells the breath of life that surrounds you.

Why not take advantage of these walks to do some cardiac coherenceYou can also do pranayamas, wild gatherings or simply admire with your child's eyes the nature that is so powerful and fragile at the same time.

Taking care of yourself during the summer is easy: the weather is nice and warm, the market stalls are colorful and make you want to eat well and you have time to stroll around. However, taking care of yourself should be done all year round, in accordance with the seasons, by regularly giving yourself resource moments as described in this article. Learn to listen to yourself and trust yourself. Don't wait for burnout to occur before taking care of yourself!
