The real dangers of chemical statins

Today, no doctor should be unaware of the side effects of statins, which are prescribed to lower cholesterol levels.

The list of these side effects continues to grow. Indeed, the problems reported by scientists are not only more and more numerous, but also more and more worrying. These include kidney failure, increased cataracts, peripheral neuropathy, cardiac arrest, memory loss and impairment of some cognitive abilities, anemia, acidosis, frequent fever attacks and sexual dysfunction. Other potentially serious and life-threatening side effects cannot be ruled out, including an increased risk of cancer, weakening of the immune system, severe degeneration of muscle tissue (rhabdomyolysis), pancreatic and liver dysfunction (drug-induced hepatitis and increased transaminases), changes in blood glucose levels and tendon problems. The harmfulness of statins obviously depends on the dose at which they are prescribed, but certain factors such as thyroid disorders or the combination with other medications can further increase this harmfulness.

In the United States, as elsewhere, there is a whole educational program set up by the official authorities to correct the diet in order to avoid excess cholesterol. This advice would help reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease caused by bad cholesterol (LDL). Prior to 2004, a blood LDL level of 130 milligrams was considered acceptable and not a health risk. The latest updates recommend a level below 100 milligrams, or even 70 milligrams. By doing this and inducing fear, this manipulation obviously allows for a very large increase in the statin sales market.

Pharmaceutical laboratories and researchers working for the official authorities go so far as to recommend the prescription of statins for overweight adolescents.

Some pharmaceutical companies even tried to convince people that statins were useful in treating the swine flu outbreak last year!

And the "experts" currently recommend prevention with statins, "just in case". In their eyes, it is better to run the risk of experiencing some muscular pain or weakness, neuropathy or even a risk of heart failure than to have excess cholesterol, even though there are more than 900 new studies that demonstrate the dangers of these chemical molecules.

It is important to know that the effects caused by these drugs do not always appear quickly after the beginning of the intake, they sometimes even take several years to appear and the link is not always easy to establish.

Therefore, many doctors believe that this is a new health problem for the person and that this new problem is completely independent of the medication.
