. With layering, we banish cosmetics with dubious compositions to return to the essential, to the raw and natural raw material. Find out how to adopt it.
Layering pushes us to rethink our relationship to image, time and our consumption patterns. The main idea is to get back to the essential in the here and now. The products chosen will therefore be natural, raw and of organic quality or certified with eco-responsible labels in order to avoid any internal pollution and unethical approaches.
The Japanese layering is broken down into 7 steps:
1. Démaquillage à l’huile végétale
Affordable and excellent makeup remover, oil works miracles even to remove the most resistant makeup whether waterproof or long-lasting and all this, without greasing your skin, rest assured!
L’huile de coco ou la simple huile d’olive sont des corps gras qui démaquillent en douceur sans irriter la peau ni les yeux.
Tip: Pour a few drops into the palm of your hand, rub to warm the oil before applying it to the face with a small circular massage while gently insisting on the most stubborn parts (eyes/lips). Then, remove excess oil with a clean cloth, dry glove or washable absorbent cotton.
2. Nettoyage
Then comes the cleaning part with a mild soap or cold process soap to simply wash your face. Dab with a towel to dry yourself.
3. Lotion
To finish cleansing while removing chalky residue that can aggress your skin ( redness and tightness) as well as to tighten pores, diffuse a floral water mist over your face. According to your needs, you will choose a floral water whose properties will meet the requirements of your skin. Moreover, floral waters do not modify the PH of the skin.
Good to know: Rosemary water for acne-prone skin, lavender water for normal skin, Roman chamomile water for sensitive and reactive skin, rose water for mature skin.
Tapoter délicatement pour sécher votre peau.
4. Application du serum
The serum is a concentrate of active ingredients that quickly penetrate the skin. Depending on your skin type, the serum will haveanti-aging, moisturizing, mattifying etc... effects.
The gel aloe vera is a must for natural cosmetics. You can take it directly from the plant or buy it already packaged. The aloe vera gel moisturizes the skin, relieves tightness, improves healing (acne, eczema) and has a tightening effect.
In addition, you can also replace the aloe vera cream or gel with a vegetable oil such as jojoba oil, which is sebum-regulating, or black cumin oil, which is suitable for acne-prone skin. However, oils do not moisturize, they soften the skin while having specific properties to each (healing, antiseptic etc...)

5. Contour des yeux
The eye area deserves special care. Indeed, the skin in this area is extremely thin. You can't clog it with a moisturizer. In addition, the cosmetics designed for this purpose have a well-targeted action that will reduce fine lines, dark circles and bags under the eyes.
Tip: Add a few drops or a small spray of cornflower water to your eye care. This floral water is excellent for relieving tired and puffy eyes. Then apply this mixture with your fingertips, massaging gently to stimulate blood circulation.
6. Hydratation
To finish the treatment, apply a moisturizing cream for day or night also depending on your skin type.
7. Les lèvres
Apply a lip balm or more simply a line of shea butter or coconut oil to soften them well and protect them from external aggressions.
At first glance, this ritual seems long, but in reality, 5 minutes are enough. Remember that the main idea is to take the time to take care of yourself naturally while limiting your impact on the environment by favoring raw and natural products. Your skin will thank you for it!
