The feng shui consists of arranging the living room by balancing the five fundamental elements including water, fire, wood, metal and air. And why the living room? Because it is the meeting point between the private life of the occupants with the public.

The basic principle is based on energy flow, which is referred to by the Chinese term "CHI". It is a work of balance. A feng shui living room should take into account the yin and yang sides, depending on the house's exposure to the sun.

Do not overload the house, this is the basic rule to ensure the fluidity in a room. On the parts of the house that can embarrass the circulation, it is advisable to install plants or light sources.

Order and cleanliness follow this priority. On that note, it is elementary to periodically clean the house and thus, air it out constantly. This aeration also helps to evacuate harmful energies that may occupy the living room.

The layout of the house is also a sine qua non for a harmonious living room that is good to live in. A symmetrical order of furniture is thus advised.

Finally, it is important to know how to create conviviality. Since the living room is a meeting point between the privacy of the occupants and the outside life with visitors, it presents this interaction through the layout of the house. For example, the sofa should be positioned facing the front door.

La lumière et la couleur

The feng shui living room takes into account the importance of light, especially sunlight. Openings should allow regular, daily visits from the sun's rays. In addition to this natural lighting, a beautiful view of the garden and the outdoors is advocated. Thus, the orientation of the windows and doors plays a prominent role in setting up afeng shui living room.

For night lighting, discreet light sources such as small lamps and candles will be placed. In the center, as the main, non-permanent illumination, a large crystal chandelier with rainbow reflection will be placed.

Color is a matter of taste. Yet, a few nuances should be noted: especially not too aggressive or too pale. The ideal will be played with a note of balance yin and yang. We will balance the softness and liveliness.

The sofa is the main piece of furniture in the living room. For a feng shui arrangement, it is best that this element is made of natural material. Thus, one would choose wood with leather, linen or quality fabric caulking. For its placement, this should be leaning against a wall to givethe spirit of comfort and security. It should also face the front door to illustrate the interaction with the outside.

The other furniture will be of the same assortment. The cushions, ottomans, curtain and other chairs will be arranged around this sofa with the same style. The carpet, in the same range will delineate thefeng shui zone. It is possible to install a TV, stereo or other appliances at the end of the area.

A working fireplace could complete the feng shui atmosphere. Thus, to top it all off, a large natural stone de-polluter can be installed.

Les éléments décoratifs feng shui

If you like paintings, choosepeaceful or nature themes such as any landscape, portrait of a character, image of a flower, ... Avoid harmful themes such as war, shipwreck, death, ...

In order to set up peace in your feng shui living room, avoid objects with gloomy characters like weapons as well as those that bring back bad memories. Also separate yourself from things you don't like. Second-hand objects will also be worth considering before being installed in your living room as these retain the energies of their former owners.

Instead, choose beauty, dance art and music themes because feng shui is about a state of mind. Set up fulfilling family portraits. Set up objects that bring back beautiful memories, beautiful and perhaps also useful.
