Holiday Excess: Take care of your digestive system naturally

Christmas is fast approaching with the much-anticipated decorating of the tree, the gifts you plan to give, the prospect of getting together with your family... and the rich and generous meals! The only thing to remember during this festive period is prevention. And what better way to deal with your future overeating than by using natural methods?

My favorite solution? The proven benefits of herbal medicine

A healthy and tonic liver, an easy and functional digestion as well as a well-prepared intestinal flora will help you to serenely pass the end-of-year holidays.

Fresh plant extracts are therefore ideal for the beginning of December.

To support the digestion bet on the lemon balm and the yarrow. While one will balance your resistance to stress (it happens despite the joyful nature of the holidays), the other will prepare your stomach and stimulate your biliary secretion.

To drain your liver and activate it in prevention of overeating, count on artichoke which favors the elimination of toxins and the detoxification of the body as well as on black radish which gives a boost to general vitality.

My tips for use and dosage.

Prevention of digestive disorders:

- Lemon balm extract: 15 drops diluted in a glass of water, 3 times a day for 3 weeks. Not recommended for children under 6 years old.

- Yarrow extract: 10 drops diluted in a glass of water, 3 times a day for 3 weeks. Not recommended for children under 6 years of age or for pregnant or nursing women.

Stimulation of liver activity:

- Artichoke extract: 10 drops diluted in a glass of water, 3 times a day for 3 weeks. Not recommended for pregnant or nursing women.

- Black radish extract: 10 drops diluted in a glass of water, 3 times a day for 3 weeks. Not recommended for children under 6 years old.

Fresh plant extracts contain alcohol and are not medicines. As such, it is important to have a balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle.

Prefer organically grown products as they are more effective and beneficial.

Finally, phytotherapy and aromatherapy are natural methods that are complementary to allopathic medicine and should never replace it. This is an important reminder that I regularly post on my professional website Diabolophyto.com
