What if we quit smoking?

When we quit smoking, we are subjected to a whole series of stressful moments that invade our lives. Indeed, quitting smoking is a much more complicated step than one might think. Who hasn't tried to quit smoking and not succeeded? Who has never given up smoking? Quitting smoking means weaning your body off a highly addictive molecule, which is none other than nicotine, but it also means getting your body used to a mechanism that has become completely natural: the smoker's gesture. Indeed, smokers have generally acquired this reflex which has become an innate part of their daily life. For your information, a smoker is considered addicted if the first thing he does when he gets up in the morning is to light up a cigarette.

Pyridine, collidine, ammonia, hydrocyanic acid are so many poisons that are smoked in every cigarette. Scary, isn't it?

Did you know that a heavy smoker's life expectancy will be shortened by at least 10 years? Did you also know that tobacco is involved in 17 forms of cancer, the best known of which are cancers of the mouth, pharynx and larynx as well as the esophagus and lungs. The digestive system is also affected by daily smoking. Indeed, it is not uncommon to see many peptic ulcers appear in smokers. Smoking an average of 20 cigarettes a day increases your risk of having a heart attack threefold, ....

Smoking kills, that's no secret.... If you are unfortunately immersed in this ordeal in spite of yourself, the ideal would be to say stop today to start a new life and a new process of well-being. Indeed, although it may seem absurd for a smoker, know that a non-smoker will be much happier because his body will live full health and will not be smoked from inside.

How to stop?

This is the number one question that therapists hear very often. Because when we decide to stop smoking, we obviously try all possible methods: nicotine substitutes such as nicotine patches or chewing gum, pharmacological products such as Champix, hypnosis, acupuncture, homeopathy, Bach flowers or aromatherapy and so on. There are many methods available and believe me, they are all very effective.

However, not every method will work for everyone and this is the most complicated part of the treatment. Moreover, without real investment, without deep motivation, each stop will probably end in failure.

Therefore, many people jump at the opportunity to test the electronic cigarette hoping to get rid of an addiction well anchored in them. Is this the right solution? To date, the tests are not really conclusive to define the dangerous nature of the electronic cigarette but we can say that, in any case, the e-cigarette is less harmful than the conventional cigarette. Nevertheless, one thing is certain, with the E-cigarette, we do not remove the "gesture" of smoking, yet so complicated to eradicate from his life. Some will see it as a real stepping stone to permanent cessation.

Because smokers are conditioned, it will mainly be necessary to change their lifestyle habits in order to modify their behavior towards cigarettes. By combining self-confidence, love for life and a change in lifestyle, quitting smoking will become a completely natural mechanism.

Love yourself enough not to poison yourself.
