After winter, a little cleaning is necessary

Although it is still cold, it is March and spring will soon be knocking on the door. Whether it is ancestral traditions, our grandmothers, natural medicine or naturopathy, it has always been recommended at this time of year to cleanse the body. This approach can consist of a drainage of the liver, an organ considered as the pillar of our health is often neglected by official medicine.

The liver is the largest gland in the body

This real chemical powerhouse of the body performs a colossal work and is absolutely essential to life. It provides 3 essential functions:

  1. Digestion to the point of reducing food into simple elements so that it can be used by the body.
  2. Transformation, recycling and synthesis of substances essential for basal metabolism (enzyme, hormones, cholesterol...).
  3. Detoxification or detoxification, i.e., transformation of absorbed "poisons" (drugs, heavy metals, any chemical substance) that once transformed can be more easily eliminated by the kidneys.

Even if we observe a strict lifestyle, unfortunately in our current world no one escapes the multiple sources of pollution since gestation (transmission of toxins from the mother), through the youngest age (vaccination, antibiotics overkill ...) and of course in adulthood (air pollution, dental amalgams, denatured food and saturated with additives, etc.).

The sources of toxins are currently so numerous that the natural processes of elimination and detoxification are saturated and become insufficient, as the liver itself is often clogged, fatigued and no longer fully fulfills its role as a purifying organ.

Since in winter the holiday season leads us to overindulge and the basal metabolism slows down, waste accumulates. This makes it seem all the more important to drain the foie. This is a true preventive approach.

A spring drainage will allow a deep and safe cleansing of the body

This "great cleansing" will be accompanied by many other positive effects such as the elimination of accumulated fatigue, renewed vital energy and tone, rejuvenation of the body and skin and sometimes a slight weight loss.

To perform this drainage, nature puts many plants at our disposal: dandelion, boldo, black radish, fumitory, aloe vera, lemon, artichoke, Mary thistle...

aloe vera

The Mary thistle is particularly interesting for the silymarin contained in all parts of the plant. This flavonoid complex mainly composed of silybin, silychristin and silydianin has real hepatoprotective and regenerative properties of the foie. Silybin is a biliary fluidifier and effectively neutralizes various free radicals. Silymarin can go as far as regenerating damaged tissue in the liver and preventively protects this organ from the toxic effects of chemical pollutants.

As for milk thistle seeds, they contain betaine and essential fatty acids that can help reduce inflammatory phenomena and regulate cholesterol levels.

In order to help your body drain, you can also lighten your diet, practice a monodiet (eat only one food for a few days) to make a juice cure in which you integrate these plants in depurative virtue. These plants can also be used in herbal tea, decoction or as a food supplement.
