The Dead Sea, a lake with exceptional salinity in danger of disappearing

Dead Sea salt contains between 31% and 35% magnesium chloride, 20% to 28% potassium, 3% to 8% sodium, 0.1% to 0.5% calcium and 0.05 to 0.2% sulfur. This exceptional salt moisturizes and protects the surface of the epidermis from external aggressions. 

Dead Sea salt moisturizes the upper layer of the skin

Bathing in water with added salt from the Dead Sea improves the quality of the skin. It calms redness while hydrating the upper layers of the epidermis. Dry atopic skin can benefit from its advantages by regularly immersing itself in a salt water bath for at least 15 minutes. Magnesium acts as a protective film that prevents the skin from dehydrating.

Sulfur is known for its anti-bacterial properties. Thus, the salt from the Dead Sea protects the skin from pathogenic micro-organisms that could infect or over-infect a wound, acne-prone skin or in case of mycosis (antifungal action of sulfur).

If you can't come to the Dead Sea, the Dead Sea will come to you! At home, you can prepare your own spa treatment by adding salt from the Dead Sea directly into the water of your bath. We count 500 g of salt per bath. Remember to rinse with clear water when finished. If it is to relieve feet swollen by the heat or because of a bad venous return, to put cold water in a basin and of sel de la mer Morte. Soak the feet for at least 15 minutes. Repeat several times a day in case of hot weather.
