As a gateway to the world, the face is the first thing you see when you meet someone. All conscious and unconscious facial expressions, such as a smile, a straight look or a fleeting glance, give information about our emotional state.
For many women, the face is a blank canvas to be embellished. Who has never dreamed of having a clear skin and a radiant complexion? Zoom on the Japanese layering, the technique to have a beautiful skin naturally.
What is Japanese layering
Japanese layering is a beauty technique that consists of following a succession of very specific steps to take care of your skin. The idea is not only to take care of your skin naturally but also to take the time to take care of yourself and to develop an eco-responsible conscience.
With this method, no more multi-purpose products with dubious compositions! We come back to the essential, to the raw, to the natural, to the here and now.
Japanese layering is much more than a beauty technique, it is a philosophy, an art of living that invites you to review the way you take care of yourself and therefore of others.
Which products to choose
With Japanese layering, it is a question of reviewing its consumption patterns and its relationship to time and its image. The chosen products will be natural, organic, raw in order to avoid any contamination by pollutants and unethical approaches.
Japanese layering can be broken down into 7 steps:
1. Make-up removal with vegetable oil.
Although it may seem incredible, oil is an excellent make-up remover even for so-called waterproof or long-lasting make-up without greasing your skin! Oil is generally affordable and can only be used in very small quantities.
Coconut oil or simple olive oil are greasy substances that gently remove makeup without irritating the skin or eyes. However, depending on the quality of your skin, you can choose a more targeted vegetable oil.
Tip: Pour a few drops in the palm of your hand, rub them to warm the oil before applying it to the face by performing a small circular massage while gently insisting on the most recalcitrant parts (eyes/lips). Then remove the excess oil with a clean cloth, dry glove or washable absorbent cotton.
2. Cleaning
To clean your skin, choose a mild soap or cold soap. Dab your face with a towel to wipe your face.
3. Lotion
Sometimes the water is too hard which can cause redness and tightness. To complete the cleansing process and to remove lime residue and tighten pores, spray a mist of floral water on your face. The great advantage of floral waters is that they do not alter the PH of the skin.
Good to know : Rosemary water for acne-prone skin, lavender water for normal skin, Roman chamomile water for sensitive and reactive skin, rose water for mature skin.
Tap gently to dry your skin.
4. Application of the Serum
The serum is a concentrate of active ingredients that penetrates quickly into the skin. Depending on your skin type, the serum will have anti-aging, moisturizing, mattifying effects etc...
You can mix your serum with your day or night cream (step 6).
5. Eye Contour
The skin around the eyes is extremely fine and requires special care. Moisturizing creams tend to clog it, so it is advisable to choose cosmetics designed for this purpose that have a well-targeted action to reduce fine lines, dark circles and bags under the eyes.
Tip: Add a few drops or a small spray of cornflower water to your eye contour care. This floral water is excellent to relieve tired and puffy eyes.
6. Hydratation
To finish the treatment, apply a moisturizing day or night cream, depending on your skin type.
7. The lips
Apply a lip balm or simply a dash of shea butter or coconut oil to soften them and protect them from external aggressions.
This ritual may seem long, but in reality, 5 minutes is enough. It should not be forgotten that the first idea of layering is to take the time to take care of oneself naturally while limiting its impact on the environment by privileging raw and natural products.
