Gout, an intense joint inflammation

Gout is a fairly common condition, affecting 20 men for every woman. It almost always appears between the ages of 30 and 50. It is due to an overload of the body in uric acid.

It can be acute or chronic. If it is acute, it is most often a mono-arthritis that is to say that it affects only one joint, it is frequently the metatarsophalangeal joint of the big toe. The crisis starts suddenly and lasts 4 to 10 days. The joint inflammation is intense and is usually accompanied by fever and very sharp pain, predominantly at night. Other joints may be affected.

If the condition is chronic, it is marked at the metabolic level by hyperuricemia visible in the results of a blood test, with uric acid levels well above the normal limit of 60 mg. The joints are ankylosed and swollen and there may be kidney damage with urate stones.

Generally, colchicine based medications are offered that lower uric acid levels, either by increasing its elimination through the urine or by decreasing its synthesis. These measures are generally quite effective.

Studies have shown that arthritis (as well as other pathologies) can be caused by aluminum poisoning.

 

EVITER

- Foods rich in uric acid: sweetbreads, kidneys, calf's liver, brains, cold cuts, pork, anchovies, sardines, herring, carp, trout, shellfish, fish eggs, seafood, whole grains, asparagus, cauliflower, mushrooms, spinach and legumes, beans and peas, highly fermented cheeses.

Arthritis is aggravated by tomatoes, potatoes, peppers, eggplant and sorrel. Excess fruit and fructose increase the production of urate, the salt of uric acid, as do yeast-based condiments, lead poisoning, vinegar, caffeine and refined carbohydrates.

- Overweight.

The latter, along with high blood pressure, is one of the factors that helps correct excess fat in the blood.

 

A must do.

- Drinking

Regularly and abundantly, at least 2 liters per day, of low mineralized spring water to avoid the risks of precipitation and kidney stones. Plus 2 liters in case of important sweating.

- Reduce excess weight.

Lose weight, drink and eat more fiber-rich foods, green leafy vegetables (their folic acid reduces uric acid levels), celery, parsley and watercress, as well as foods rich in zinc, magnesium and vitamin C (which helps lower uric acid in the urine).

- Following a adapted diet usually results in improvement, however, joint pain recurs with each twist of the diet.

- Consume matrix leaves which reduce inflammation and pain, but avoid eating these for more than 14 consecutive days.

- Raw vegetable juices provide relief, as do dandelion, nettle and meadowsweet infusions.

  • Natural prevention and treatment.

In addition to the classical medical treatment, mainly colchicine, necessary in case of acute crisis, natural medicine can prevent recurrences by taking care to fight against the acidification of the body. The PH of the soil can be rebalanced by the diet but also by taking alkalizing food supplements.

 

-- PREVENTION OF GOUT RECURRENCE --

RECOMMENDED PRODUCTS DOSAGE

1 ALCALOPLEX 1 level scoop (equivalent to 4g) per day to be diluted at breakfast.

It is recommended to drink a lot of water to allow a good elimination of acids.

2 SILICIUM 3 caps per day. ¼ hour before each meal, 1 cap pure under the tongue, let act a few seconds then swallow.

3 PHYTOTHERAPY * :

- Fraxinus exelsior 3 X 50 drops per day

D1 glycerine maceration in a little water before meals.
