The key to longevity: telomeres

Currently, longevity and immortality are highly topical. Many sites and books address this topic and even Google is investing in the search for eternal youth.

Recently a book written by Dr. Michael Fossel, Greta Blackburn, and Dr. Dave Woynarowski focuses on the secret of telomeres, the genetic elements that allow for a longer lifespan if one adopts a healthy lifestyle and a non-toxic diet. The research on telomeres has been the subject of a Nobel Prize, and it is on the results of this research that this book is mainly based.

The authors explain how telomeres play a fundamental role in protecting our chromosomes from factors that damage them. By shortening, telomeres disrupt essential cellular functions and cause aging processes which in turn will result in the development of diseases such as cancer, Alzheimer's or other degenerative diseases.

According to the research of this 2009 Nobel Prize winner, these aging and degeneration processes linked to telomeres could be partly preventable, mainly by avoiding exposure to certain toxins and pollution.

By including certain foods and adopting healthier and simpler behaviors, it is possible to slow down this reduction of telomeres and thus rejuvenate our cells.

If the goal of reaching 120 years of age in perfect health seems attractive, you should familiarize yourself with this word: "telomeres", since it is the real key to aging or rejuvenation...

Our modern lifestyle exposes us to various toxins that reduce the size of our telomeres. However, biologists and experts in the field of ageing worldwide have indisputably confirmed that reversing the reduction of these chromosomal elements is entirely possible and allows us to regain our youth, all of which is supported by studies and genetic research.
