What is Bioflore Exotic Basil Essential Oil?
Although there are many varieties of basil, it's generally exotic basil that is used in aromatherapy. It comes to us from India, Vietnam and Madagascar. Its essential oil has a fresh, mild, slightly spicy aroma. André Bitsas' advice (extracts from his book Aromathérapie Corps et âme, Editions Amyris): "Basil essential oil is powerfully antispasmodic, specifically, it soothes digestive and gastrointestinal spasms, promoting light, trouble-free digestion. Use internally: 2 drops 3 times a day.
Alone or in synergy, diluted in a vegetable oil for local external use, it softens muscles before exertion and soothes muscle cramps. On a psycho-emotional level, Basil essential oil revives and refreshes themind. We don't use it to disconnect from the real world, but to regain a sense of perspective: it helps people who are stressed and overwhelmed by daily routine to gain a sense of perspective. It can be used for friction (always dilute), massage, bath or atmospheric diffusion."
Posology of Bioflore Organic Exotic Basil Essential Oil
External use: 3 drops basil essential oil + 5 drops hazelnut vegetable oil. hazelnut vegetable oil or jojoba on the stomach for digestive spasms and painful periods, several times a day.
Tip
Mix 8 drops of basil essential oil with 2 drops of lemon essential oil to 50 ml olive oil. You'll obtain a deliciously fragrant oil to accompany a range of dishes (tomato-mozzarella, for example).
