Fresh fruits and vegetables to temper weight gain

Weight gain, extra pounds, cellulite, bulges, everything that seems unsightly is not always the result of a poor diet or an excess of food intake. In fact, other parameters are involved in the storage of fat, in the metabolism of sugars and in the variations of body weight.

It is now proven that chemical additives in industrial food promote weight gain. The body, in order to preserve the noble organs, will store these toxic substances in the least useful tissues, namely mainly the fatty tissue. The greater the amount of toxins ingested, the more mass the body will build up in order to store them.

A LIFESTYLE THAT LEADS TO ACIDITY

The acidity of the body is regulated by the minerals that our body stores in the buffer reserves. However, stress, unbalanced and too fast meals, lack of sleep and various pollutions make our body more acidic, which depletes the mineral reserves. As a result, certain minerals or trace elements (metabolic cofactors), which should be used for the proper metabolic functioning of sugars and fats, are deficient.

Dysfunctions or abnormalities in storage and digestion then emerge. The functioning of the endocrine glands, including the thyroid and pancreas, is also a victim of our anti-physiological lifestyle. The thyroid gland largely regulates the metabolism of fats and sugars. As soon as it malfunctions or slows down, weight gain is almost always the result. This gland is stimulated by iodine. However, the majority of the population is currently deficient in this element.

The intestine also plays an important role in the absorption of minerals. The intestinal transit of most of us is slowed down. Even if juices do not really provide fiber, their minerals are much better assimilated than in a whole food. Fiber intake is higher when whole foods are eaten raw or steamed.

 

FRUIT AND VEGETABLE PROPERTIES

These replenish the buffer reserves, often depleted by stress and the hectic lives we lead. They therefore restore the acid-base balance.
