Oily skin: the benefits of vegetable oils

Dilated and visible pores, imperfections, shine, irregular skin texture?

Oily skin is a concentrate of inconveniences that does not only concern teenagers. This is the most common skin type, even in adults.

Characterized by an excessive production of sebum, this type of skin can be due to several factors: heredity, pollution, lifestyle, hormonal imbalances or stress.

We would tend to want to strip it with scrubs and abrasive washes, but this may well aggravate the problem. This type of action will, in fact, excite the sebaceous glands which will act as if the skin lacked oil. Hello the vicious circle!

Contrary to popular belief, oily skin also needs to be nourished and moisturized. No, seborrhea is not a sign of excessive hydration, but rather of an imbalance.

Regulate sebum production, that's what we need! And, for this, vegetable oils are essential

I can already hear you: "What? Oil on oily skin? "... Well, yes! As paradoxical as it may seem, it is necessary to make the skin understand that it has sufficient protection and that it does not need to overproduce sebum to be safe!

It is, above all, very important to choose quality, organic, first cold-pressed vegetable oils, and to carefully analyze the labels: they must contain only vegetable oil and vitamin E; no perfume, no mineral oil, no alcohol!

The vegetable oils most suitable for oily skin must have a lipidic composition similar to that of sebum. They must be light and penetrate the skin well, to avoid a shine that we are trying to eliminate.

Jojoba oil is the reference oil for oily skin with imperfections. Rich in vitamin E and linoleic acid, its composition is very similar to that of sebum, which makes it extremely effective. It gently regulates sebum production and the skin's pH level, for a rebalanced skin in no time. Moreover, it penetrates easily and quickly the epidermis, is non-comedogenic and acts in depth. Regenerating and healing, it ensures suppleness and protection to the skin.

Hazelnut vegetable oil is also recommended for oily skin. It balances the production of sebum, is very penetrating and protective, which helps prevent skin dehydration. Healing and softening, it brings a feeling of softness and softens the skin in depth, without leaving an oily film. Its light smell of hazelnut brings, moreover, a side very "cracking" with the application.

These vegetable oils are to be applied morning and evening on a skin removed and cleaned beforehand.

In case of impure skins, Tea Tree essential oil can be added to these wonderful balancing plant oils, to cleanse oily skins with acneic tendency.
