Anderson from the University of Kentucky (USA) found that the whole oatmeal, whether raw or cooked, and cholesterol-lowering: bad cholesterol decreases by an average of 20% and Lebon increases by 15%. Beta-glucan, a soluble fiber, traps cholesterol in the intestines, which is then evacuated through natural channels. In addition, thanks to this fiber, the liver is made to produce less cholesterol.
