DIY: two homemade scrubs for beautiful skin

Scrubbing your skin should not be a daily gesture, at the risk of attacking and damaging it, but once a week (or every two weeks for sensitive skin), scrubbing allows you to get rid of dead cells and imperfections, to let your skin breathe, and to make it soft and silky. In addition, the scrub prepares the skin to receive and better assimilate the treatments to come.

Commercially available scrubs are often very abrasive and much too aggressive for the fragile skin of the face. In addition to being generally expensive, they contain many harmful ingredients - except for organic products, of course - that should be avoided.

  • To make a good scrub and get the most out of its benefits, there are a few steps to follow:

  • Remove your makeup (with a good vegetable oil, it's even better!)

  • A 10-minute facial sauna to dilate the pores (optional, but very effective).

  • Hand washing is mandatory during preparation and application!

  • The cleaning of containers and utensils is essential for maximum hygiene.

  • The use of organic products is not mandatory, but is highly recommended.

  • The scrub is applied with small circular movements, without pressing to not unnecessarily attack the skin, avoiding the eye contour.

  • Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water and finish with a cold water jet to tighten the pores.

  • Remember to moisturize the skin after the scrub.

Voici deux recettes de gommages maison, faciles à réaliser, écologiques et économiques !

  • Gommage purifiant à l’huile de coco et au bicarbonate de soude :

Ideal for oily skin with a tendency to acne, it is the perfect blend to gently clear the skin.

Easy and inexpensive, just mix one part coconut oil and one part baking soda.

Apply the mixture to the face, dry or wet, drawing small circles.

For a deeper cleaning, you can leave the mixture for 15 minutes before rinsing.

  • Gommage gourmand au miel et au sucre :

Perfect for all skin types and super easy to make, this sweet scrub is moisturizing and healing.

Depending on the type of skin, you can choose an adapted sugar: fine sugar that will gently exfoliate the most sensitive skins, or thicker grains for oily skins.

It is important to choose a creamy honey for a soft and pleasant application.

We mix a dose of sugar for a dose of honey, and it's off to a gourmet scrub and deliciously sweet. It can even be used to exfoliate small dead skin on the lips. Sweetness guaranteed!
