How to treat Helicobacter pylori with natural remedies?

Prone togastritis, stomach pain, acid reflux, coughing, while having a stressed, nervous, anxious temperament? Perhaps you harbor Helicobacter Pylori in the lining of your stomach...

Contracted in childhood, persisting into adulthood, the presence of helicobater pylori bacteria in the stomach is thought to affect 50% of the world's population. For many, this infection is asymptomatic, for others it proves to be a real ordeal and for a minority, depending on the strain H. Pylori, this spiral-shaped bacterium can promote the development of gastric cancers. In this article, discover natural solutions complementary to conventional treatments to eradicate this bacteria.

H Pylori: What you need to know

In France, its colonization rate is estimated at about 25% and its transmission is usually familial during promiscuous relationships in childhood. Having developed a resistance to stomach acids thanks to a specific enzyme ( urease), H Pylori will be able to lodge in the gastric mucosa creating, in the long term, inflammationcommonly called gastritis. In 5% of cases, this can cause ulcerations because the weakened mucosa becomes porous and gets "nibbled" by stomach acids. Conventional treatment therefore relies on a double-dose proton pump inhibitor ("antacid") combined with two antibiotics for seven days. Four to six weeks later, a breathing test is performed to verify the effectiveness of the treatment.

The consequences of these treatments are not to be underestimated. Indeed, antibiotics, as beneficial as they are, completely wash out the gut light of all microbial life eradicating in the process, all the good bacteria necessary for good physical and mental health. In addition, the recommended triple therapy has its limits (70% success rate) which reveals another problem: resistance to antibiotics especially to clarythromicin which is about 21% in France.

A proper anti-acid and anti-Helicobacter Pylori diet.

  • Put broccoli and black radish on your plate, rich in sulforaphane which are powerful bactericides.
  • At the same time, avoid consuming sugar, refined flours, industrial dishes, alcohol, and dishes that are too fatty and/or spicy.
  • Prefer basifying foods (potato, banana ...) to so-called acidic foods.

H Pylori: tip borrowed from aromatherapy

Depending on the recommendations of your doctor, aromatherapist or naturopath, some essential oils can act as natural antibiotics without the drawbacks of the latter.

The primary focus will be on:

  • Phenol essential oils such as oregano compact (origanum compactum) which is the most potent bactericide.
  • Clove essential oil(eugenia caryophillata), meanwhile, strongly limits the spread of the bacteria.
  • Sage essential oil (salvia officinalis) helps heal the mucous membranes of the stomach.

Phytotherapy to relieve or prevent Helicobacter Pylori conditions

  • Cranberry juice is recommended to relieve inflammation and limit bacterial growth by preventing them from adhering to the stomach walls. However, it does not help to get rid of it.
  • License is anatural stomach dressing. It calms the inflammation of the mucous membrane while healing the damaged areas. Not to be consumed in case of high blood pressure.
  • Turmeric Is an anti-inflammatory, ginger facilitates digestion and clove a powerful anti-bacterial.
  • Roman chamomile, in addition to its local anti-inflammatory action in the mucous membranes of the stomach, its benefits have been compared to proton pump inhibitors (antacids)

Tailored probiotics powered by quality prebiotics.

Recently, it has been recognized that probiotics have their role to play in the success of both conventional and complementary treatments, particularly through a specific strain: the lactobacillus reuteri.

To complete the seeding of probiotics, the consumption of kefir, kombucha, miso, or lacto-fermented vegetables will help feed the intestinal microbiota but also oral ( Helicobacter Pylori can be found all along the digestive tract).

This condition is insidious. Many suffer from it without knowing it because it is often detected only after a long journey of medical wandering while not having the guarantee of aneffective triple therapy.

The advice presented must be considered as complementary to conventional treatments, as elements of support far from any fatality.

However, if implemented in isolation, they will not be of much use. Their efficiency relies on synergy, personalization of your protocol and your long-term commitment to putting it into practice.
