Cardiac coherence: anti-stress method

Your work day was grueling. Indeed, between the meetings that never end, the displeasure of your boss or your colleagues and the traffic jams to get home, you reach home at a late hour and in a state of stress but also increased nervousness. This situation is unmanageable on a daily basis because it disrupts your family balance, but not only. In fact, in addition to the fact that this situation is complicated for those around you who have to live with your intense state of nervousness, it also disturbs your own nervous system. Such anxious situations cannot go on indefinitely and finding a solution quickly becomes almost vital.

Many people nowadays get carried away by stress-related aggression or uncontrolled nervousness. These emotions are no longer beneficial to the body, which is constantly struggling to bring you back to a nervous balance, but also a balance in terms of your health. Homeostasis is then disturbed....

In order to avoid the use of chemicals, many people turn - rightly so - to natural medication. Indeed, many plants provide us with sensations of well-being, stress relief and tension release. By reveling in the daily nervous attacks in this way, we will allow our body to live life and the daily inconveniences, which are always very numerous, more serenely.
Note that by doing nothing and letting the course of life envenomate you, you risk getting really sick, physically and/or emotionally. The consequences will then be much more important.

There is a wide range of options for dealing with nervous disorders: aromatherapy, gemmotherapy, energy therapies, relaxation methods, etc. The choice is really very interesting because it allows each one to find the way which corresponds to him and the way which he will decide to take to release himself from this interior nervousness.

Cardiac coherence ...

Exercises can even be done at home, as well as at any time of the day when you feel the need. So let's take a look at an interesting method, which is none other than heart coherence. Advocating breathing exercises, heart coherence will change many factors such as:

  • An increase in the amplitude of cardiac variability
  • The heart speeds up and slows down appropriately
  • The effect felt is almost immediate: soothing and calm
  • The decrease in blood cortisol
  • The increase of DHEA
  • A positive action on neurotransmitters such as dopamine or serotonin
  • A general impression of letting go.

In order to fully understand the mechanism, let us first note that cardiac variability is modified by so many elements:

  • Lack of sleep
  • Fatigue
  • Nervous exhaustion
  • Chronic diseases
  • Sadness and all negative feelings
  • Tobacco, alcohol and drugs of all kinds
  • Medication
  • Toxic pollution

These disruptive elements listed in a non-exhaustive way really disturb the rhythm and the beats of your heart which then become irregular.

Therefore, in order to re-establish this cardiac variability and to standardize our beats, breathing exercises are necessary. Cardiac coherence is a method that can be found easily on the internet but also in many books on the subject. The breath chosen will be that of a resonant frequency.
Why? Simply because when we breathe regularly 6 times per minute, the breath and the heart rate enter in resonance so they synchronize. It is this synchronicity that is sought in order to benefit from the advantages of this method.

The cardiac coherence method was brought to France by Dr. David Servan-Schreiber, a physician, professor and health journalist and author. Moreover, it is in his book "Healing" - which has given rise to heavy controversy - that he develops his knowledge about cardiac coherence.

By reducing your feelings of stress simply by breathing exercises, you can then reduce your nervousness and aggressiveness that invade your life in a too negative way. Adopt cardiac coherence and reduce your state of aggressive and nervous stress.
